A lot of things could happen in a year, and I’m glad most of the things (if not everything) I did this year was for myself.
There were downs, of course. But getting through that first two months took a lot from me that the sail afterwards felt more bearable, if not easier. I learned to value myself more, and man, I sure did.
Things may not come to us the way we want them to, things may not happen the way we want them to, but they all do come and happen the way they’re supposed to.
It will hurt, it will make us sad, even angry. It will make us feel a lot things. But let’s not forget to holding on to our hope, remembering there are better things in store for us.
Whatever pain we’re going through will help us stand firmer on the ground by the next round. What we have lost will pave way for bigger, and better things to come. And all we must do is
better ourselves while we wait.
2018 taught me how to be thankful, and I can’t express this enough, how thankful I was, how relieving it was to realize that the hardships that happened prior were only to prepare me for what’s coming.
In times of hardships, please remember, there are greater things ahead.
